Tour Plan

Aswan Sightseeing & Nile Cruise Embarkation

Meet your Egyptologist guide and begin your sightseeing program in Aswan by private air-conditioned vehicle.

Start with the Aswan High Dam, one of Egypt’s most significant modern engineering projects. Completed in the 1970s, the dam regulates the flow of the Nile, helps protect downstream areas from flooding, and generates hydroelectric power while creating the vast expanse of Lake Nasser.

Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk, located in the ancient granite quarries of Aswan. Dating to the New Kingdom, this massive monument was abandoned while still being carved, providing a fascinating insight into the stone-cutting and quarrying techniques used by ancient Egyptian craftsmen.

Proceed to the Nile waterfront, where you will board a motorboat to Philae Temple.

Visit the magnificent Temple of Philae, a major sanctuary dedicated primarily to the goddess Isis. Originally located on Philae Island, the temple complex was carefully relocated to nearby Agilkia Island during the international campaign to protect Nubian monuments from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.

After completing the visits, return by motorboat and transfer by private air-conditioned vehicle to the cruise dock.

Board your Nile Cruise, complete the embarkation procedures, and settle into your cabin. Lunch will be served onboard, followed by the remainder of the afternoon at leisure as you relax and admire the beautiful Nile scenery.

Helpful Hint: Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, and sun protection are recommended. Keep your essential belongings with you when transferring between the vehicle, motorboat, and cruise.

Dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god, the temple is renowned for its monumental gateway, imposing columns, detailed reliefs, and well-preserved inscriptions.

After completing the visit, return to the cruise and reboard before continuing sailing toward Luxor.

Lunch will be served onboard while cruising along the Nile, allowing you to relax and enjoy the changing river scenery.

Continue sailing toward Luxor, with dinner served onboard and the remainder of the evening at leisure.

Helpful Hint: Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, and sun protection are recommended for the Edfu Temple visit. Keep your cruise key and essential belongings with you when disembarking.

Karnak Temple & Luxor Temple

Breakfast will be served onboard before meeting your Egyptologist guide.

Travel by private air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor’s East Bank and begin your exploration at the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious complex of ancient Egypt. Developed over many centuries, the vast complex is dedicated primarily to the Theban god Amun-Ra and features monumental pylons, colossal statues, sacred spaces, and the famous Great Hypostyle Hall, with its forest of towering columns.

Continue to Luxor Temple, one of the most important religious monuments of ancient Thebes. Built primarily during the reigns of Amenhotep III and Ramses II, the temple was closely connected with the renewal of kingship and was historically linked to Karnak by the Avenue of Sphinxes.

After completing the East Bank visits, return by private air-conditioned vehicle to the cruise.

Lunch will be served onboard, followed by leisure time to relax and enjoy the Nile scenery.

Dinner will also be served onboard, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing evening as the cruise continues its journey.

Luxor West Bank & Final Departure

Enjoy breakfast onboard before completing the Nile Cruise disembarkation procedures.

Meet your Egyptologist guide and travel by private air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor’s West Bank to begin your sightseeing program.

Start with the Valley of the Kings, the renowned royal necropolis of ancient Egypt’s New Kingdom. Hidden within the desert cliffs, the valley contains the richly decorated tombs of numerous pharaohs, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun, where visitors can admire ancient funerary chambers decorated with colorful scenes and hieroglyphic inscriptions.

Continue to the spectacular Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, an architectural masterpiece built against the limestone cliffs. The temple served as the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt’s most prominent female rulers, and is distinguished by its elegant terraces, colonnades, and beautifully preserved reliefs.

Conclude your Luxor sightseeing at the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous quartzite statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These monumental figures once stood before his vast mortuary temple and have remained among the most recognizable landmarks on Luxor’s West Bank for thousands of years.

After completing the visits, enjoy lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant.

Following lunch, transfer by private air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor Airport for your onward flight or final departure arrangements.
